The British Society for Literature and Science invites proposals for papers and panels to be delivered at its eighth annual conference to be hosted by Cardiff University and the University of Glamorgan.

The International Advisory Board is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Third International Conference on Health, Wellness and Society and the call for submissions to the peer-reviewed International Journal of Health, Wellness and Society. The Health and Wellness Conference will be held 15 - 16 March 2013 at the Escola Paulista de Medicina - Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Hospitals are not only bastions of modern medicine but also major sites of economic activity. Together with other health services, they now account for more than 10 per cent of GDP in many developed countries. Amid increasing concerns about the cost of health services, the hospital has become a major focus of accounting research. Much emphasis has been placed on studying accounting practices in the contemporary hospital setting. The historical development of such practices remains substantially unexplored.
